SDF donates blood to save the lives of Cambodians

The management team of the Skills Development Fund (SDF) donated blood to the National Blood Transfusion Center Cambodia (NBTCC) on the morning of August 2nd, 2024, in order to contribute to meeting the continuous blood needs to save the lives of our Cambodian people, especially mothers and babies waiting for blood for emergencies.

According to data from the NBTCC, the average daily blood demand is more than 250 units in Phnom Penh, and the national blood supply is about 100,000 units, with the National Blood Transfusion Center covering only 70% of the blood supply nationwide. As for the blood received from free and voluntary donations, only about 15% of the blood demand nationwide is met, which really requires the voluntary contribution of blood donations from our people. SDF calls on all people to donate blood for this noble cause to save the lives of our Cambodian people and set a good example by encouraging other people to donate blood as well.

Participating in blood donation is not only a humanitarian act, but also promotes the welfare of Cambodian society, gives a second life to the people who need blood to save lives, and contributes to the preservation of our Cambodian human capital, which is an essential resource for social development.

Blood Donation, gift from the heart!
